I have been going through previous clients weddings selecting images to use for my new website that I am excited to be publishing this summer. I figured that I could to a few blogs on details and this post is all about the flowers. Its amazing what a great florist can do on your wedding day. Here are a few examples of flower arrangements for you to consume as you consider what your style will be.
Helping Syrian Refugee’s cross the Mediterranean sea
I received a call from my friend Dr. Courtney inviting me to apply to join a team of Greek and American lifeguards on the Greek island of Lesbos. We where selected as team members to help safeguard dangerous sea passage between Turkey and Greece. 9 MILLION SYRIAN REFUGEES have been displaced in what is now the worst humanitarian crisis of our time. Dangerous sea crossing has resulted in countless drowning’s and deaths. Last year some 3,500 people died or were reported missing in the Mediterranean Sea.
While our team from https://www.globaloutreachdoctors.org/ team and I where doing disaster first response aid in Nepal last April, I met father of the bride Trevor Ironside. Months later he called to hire me to photograph his lovely daughters wedding in Jamaica. We had a blast creating these amazing images and getting to know all their friends. I dig that both Kristin and Adrian where ready to go parasailing too, made for some fantastic memories! To see more photos from this wedding check out the link below.
Ben and Maggie put together a classy and cozy wedding celebration on their family estate in Kansas. Kansas is full of rolling hills, hip urban venues, warm people, great BBQ, and in the center of all this action was the dynamic couple; Ben and Maggie. The details incorporated into this wedding where so in tune with the natural environment. Ben and Maggie’s friends brought such joy and celebration and Maggie’s parents where some of the best host I’ve encountered at a wedding. Each detail down to a life-sized TP had connections to their family history and the land that held our celebrating. I wish all my weddings where this great and I hope to attract more clients like Ben and Maggie.
Its the most wonderful season of all… He’s making a list and checking it twice… deck the halls… and more…
I have had a great time creating family portraits for many of my awesome clients so far. There still is time to do a creative holiday card. For those of you who still have waited till the last minute, lets do something fun. The Mudd Family really pulled out the stops on this fun one. Stayed tuned more fun shoots to come.
What a happy bride Jessica Bettencourt was on her stunning wedding day in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Her and John had an emotional first look by the stream on the family property in Christmas Valley, CA and the hand crafted details complemented the meadow she had her ceremony in, the same meadow she grew up in. Laughter, tears, and true love danced into the night as her and John celebrated their partnership, family and fun loving friends. I have known Jessica and her family since she was about 13 and it has been an honor to help capture not only this event, but others weddings for her family. Weddings like this bring a deep meaning to my job. Congratulations you two!

What a joy to document the special moments of David and Mikki’s wedding celebration at Paradise Point, in beautiful San Diego, California. I have been shooting weddings in San Diego since 2003. It was my joy to get to know this couple. Cheers guys!
In between all the weddings, I get to go to swim schools and offer their clients underwater family portraits. Last Sunday I hosted mini sessions at Aqua Ducks swim school in Anaheim, CA and came up with these unique images.
