Thoughts from a Yosemite Elopement Photographer

"Going to the mountain is going home."
John Muir

Yosemite is a sacred space, and I hold my experiences as a Yosemite elopement photographer close to my heart. I treasure the moments when I can camp, swim, hike, bike and shoot photos in Yosemite National Park. Before I began my career as a Yosemite wedding photographer, I was an enthusiastic and regular visitor to the park.

My family enjoyed multiple vacations every year in Yosemite National Park throughout the 1980s. I remember countless biking adventures, hiking excursions and wonderful evenings around the campfire. As I got older, I journeyed to Yosemite for back-country camping, bouldering and some memorable romantic getaways. In fact, when I’m not working as a Yosemite elopement photographer, capturing a Yosemite wedding, you often will find me swinging between two pine trees in my hammock, listening to the melody of the Merced River as it meanders through the valley floor of Yosemite National Park.

It’s always an honor to introduce couples to a Yosemite elopement, as it’s truly and integral part of my elopement photography history. I’ve discovered so many nooks, vistas and special places ideal for capturing the joy of matrimony. As a Yosemite elopement photographer, I will deliver the stunning wedding photos you expect, but I also craft wedding elopement experiences that my clients celebrate for a lifetime. Your wedding day is the first chapter in the beginning of a long and fruitful journey, and I look forward to capturing that first chapter as your Yosemite elopement photographer.
